Hideous LV

I’ve stayed away from Louis Vuitton bags since last year and anything with logos for that matter. Somehow, looking at these bags, I feel justified for doing so. It’s like the powers that be at LV are taunting us, “It’s LV. You’ll buy it anyway.”

OK. I don’t who of the geniuses behind Louis Vuitton came up with this fringed bag (Marc, could it be you?) but it is definitely hideous. Your cat will surely love it but I don’t know who else will. The Louis Vuitton website describes this fringed speedy in Monogram Multicolore Canvas as “inspired by Elvis Presley’s costumes”. What an odd choice for inspiration.

Spirit Fingers says that “customers who needed this in order to impress their social acquaintances also needed: to start extending their social circle beyond kids in third grade art class, prescription eyewear, to be taken out the back and have some taste slapped into them with a fake 9-iron”.

Ladies, just say NO!
