Mikimoto introduces new pieces in its special collection of cultured pearl jewelry to benefit breast cancer awareness charities. Inspired by the pink ribbon, the symbol for breast cancer awareness, the 2006 collection highlight is an Akoya cultured pearl bracelet strung with pale pink silk thread. A luxurious twist on the rubber “cause” bracelet, it features a ribbon charm in 18K rose gold and is finished with a Mikimoto clasp in 18K rose gold. Other new pieces for 2006 are an Akoya cultured pearl necklace strung with pink thread and 2 Akoya cultured pearl and pink sapphire brooches. Donation to Young Survival Coalition (YSC): 5% of sales. The collection will be available during October at Mikimoto boutiques and select Mikimoto authorized retailers.
