Much Ado About Nothing

Does anybody still watch Project Runway?
Looks like there’s been a lot of drama this season. Last night wasn’t an exception. Here’s my take on the latest cheating issue, this time involving Jeffrey Sebelia:
I don’t think Jeffrey cheated. First of all, he has a professional workspace with industrial sewing machines. That may explain the clean finishing and stitching that Laura and the others noticed. A workspace separate from home can do wonders with one’s productivity because there are less distractions. Laura, five kids and pregnant? Five minutes with the kids here and there can add up. Plus Laura did a lot of intricate beading. Jeffrey had none, I believe. Laura also had to create five new pieces from when Tim Gunn visited her while it appeared that Jeffrey was almost done. I think Jeffrey was more hurt than angry that anybody would think that he cheated. He’s looking to redeem himself from his past and now this. Can’t the guy get a break? He has also shown to be efficient and productive during the challenges. I don’t recall exactly what episode it was that he had three pieces all done while the others were still slugging away. Lastly, I also read somewhere that he started his business handsewing deconstructed leather jackets so leather is a material that he is familiar working with (remember Laura questioned a leather piece from his collection?).
Anyhow, looks like the previews are misleading. I’m thinking those are tears of relief from Jeffrey because he’s still in. But when Tim said “Unfortunately…”, that probably meant that the two pieces he sent out for pleating were disqualified (I don’t recall seeing them from his runway collection). Jeffrey would have to replace those pieces, therefore requiring him to produce them within three days of the runway show. So he’s just not twidling his thumbs while the others are slugging away on last minute work.
In the end, everybody’s happy right? I just hope that this doesn’t taint Jeffrey’s chances of winning. An ass he may be, but the guy has definitely shown some talent.
Any thoughts? What do you think?

okay so first of all…you took the thoughts right out of my head..not kidding…..
i completely agree with every single thing you said!
and thats exactly what i thought too when they showed us tim gunn’s “unfortunately…” id cry if i had to re-do some of my pieces….and i think his collection is the best…and i also hope this wont affect his chances of winning.
by the way…his son is adorable and even though i dont like those sob stories…i think he has made such amazing improvments and if he won thatd be awesome

i totally agree with you. i think laura just might be a bit jealous that his work is much better than her “evening gown” collection.

^ well, i guess laura had to voice her allegations because they were what she thought at the time. her work is impeccable though. it must be some stress getting to her.

the thing is though, why was he acting so shady when it came time for him to hand in his receipts? and also, lesser comments to him about his work have totally prompted him to blow up and verbally attack everyone in sight, but his reaction to laura was very surprising like he was ousted. he did not act like normal jeffrey.

hi sarah, the previews for the next episode show jeffrey blowing up at laura about it. i don’t think he sees laura as easy to pick on as he did angela though.
