I'd really like to keep in mind what I already have in my closet too. I also def want to pay for stuff w/ cash, but this is hard when some credit cards offer "point incentives" and when you shop one store a lot like I tend to do, those extra points can really add up! Darn credit cards! I too find myself making bad decisions when I shop fast...and sometimes I almost put too much pressure on myself to buy the "perfect item" which is, of course, impossible and can also lead to bad decsions...I need to make sure this stays balanced well. On buying quality items, I agree with you. I shop for less expensive trendy pieces, but look for quality on timeless pieces and don't mind paying the price for them. All of these apply to me, too.
