Inspired Pieces from Forever21

February 20th, 2007 Posted in Fashion, Splurge vs. Steal

The print of the Annie Dress from Forever 21 (R) looks suspiciously similar, if not the same, to that of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Sumi Blossom dress (L) from last fall. The Annie is $22.80 while the designer frock went for about $328 last fall and is now going for $79 on eBay.

Here’s another inspired piece on the right, the Milano Dress. The tangerine Talia top on the left is from Tory Burch. The Milano is $24.80 while the Talia is $250.

I’m sure there are more. Let me know if you have any “inspired” sightings.

Oh my goodness..I didn’t even know that the Annie Dress was almost a direct copy of MJ’s–sigh…and I really felt like there was something familiar about it too. I picked up the Forever21 Annie Dress just two days ago from the website for $22.80. Ah well…

[...] Remember my post about inspired pieces from Forever 21? Well, I came across this Madeira mini dress (pictured on the left) from Tory Burch today while browsing through their resort and pre-spring sales. The Madeira is now on sale at 40% off or $150. It is the exact same style of the Milano Dress (right) at F21! The stitching is a little different but the overall look is the same. Wow. Looks like fast fashion is getting, erm, faster! [...]
