Prada Fall 2007: It’s All About the Accessories

February 20th, 2007 Posted in Fashion Week

Forget the shag carpet coats from Prada’s Fall 2007 collection. For me, it’s all about the accessories, specifically the two toned ribbed socks or the boxy covered clutches. Miuccia Prada must have realized that black and gray tights would still make an appearance on the runway so she made sure not to bore us with them. The multi-colored leg coverings seem to be attached to the open toed curved stack heeled shoes worn by the models. Not very practical for fall or winter, but delightfully fresh and new. The extra layer on the clutches look odd, if not unnecessary but it’s something that we haven’t seen before so kudos to Prada for originality.

Ooh I’m kinda loving those clutches! At first, I was like, “eew,” but when I stared at them for a couple minutes I changed my mind. Love your site if I haven’t said that already.

Oh my, those clutches are genius. They are a little daring, but what an awesome accessory. I was also thinking today about two-toned socks. I guess I was unconsciously thinking about the Prada socks. Very adorable and fun.

Winona - Same here. Love your site too!
