Trend Watch: PVC Shoes
April 24th, 2007 Posted in Shoes, Splurge vs. Steal, Trends

It looks like the clear plastic/PVC trend shows no signs of abating. We’ve seen it on handbags, now we’re seeing it on shoes. Perhaps the leftover strips from the handbags were put to good use? Thankfully, these shoes are covered where it matters: the toe and the heel. But do the leather trim and visible logo justify the price? You be the judge.
One the left: Chanel $475 - wear it with your Chanel Naked Bag! On the right are Tory Burch Audrey Ballet Lucite Flats $225.

It definitely bothers me that the PVC Tory Burch flats are pricier than the leather.

^shelly, the tory burch flats have “perforation on instep for breathability” so maybe that won’t be a problem.
