Patrick Robinson for Target Isn’t That Bad

May 11th, 2007 Posted in Target

I had low expectations of Patrick Robinson’s collection for Target. So when I checked out the goods on Monday, I was pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of wearable pieces in this line. Sure, wearable means nothing new in terms of fashion. It means boring but reliable, like J. Crew. The fabrics are better than Paul & Joe. There were no gaping seams by the zippers or loose threads. And how cute is the clothing tag with the designer’s image on it? A few pieces, like this linen jacket, have raw edges which is a nice detail. I ordered the medallion dress online but I tried it on in the store and found the fit to be perfect! It was another surprise for me because I read negative reviews about the tight fit by the shoulders. I also picked up a black eyelet tunic/dress that I haven’t seen on the website at all. Not the kind I would normally buy but, like the medallion dress, it fit well. Perfect for summer! That’s all I’m getting from the collection. But like I said, it isn’t so bad after all!
