Japanese company UMO recently introduced the pure gold facial that promises to lift and firm skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, eradicate free radicals to prevent premature aging of the skin and create luminous radiant skin. Gold leaf is applied to the face and UMO’s technology is used to dissolve the gold and reportedly carry it across the skin barrier. The gold is gently and thoroughly massaged into the skin until it disappears completely.

This luxurious treatment costs from 20,000 to 30,000 yen ($175 – $250) in Japan. It is new to the U.S. and is currently only available in Southern California from $400 – $500 at these two locations:
