Los Angeles is home to many fabulous boutiques but it still has room for many more, including European labels and stores that have yet to make their presence in the West Coast. We were excited about A.P.C.! Here are more store openings in L.A.:

La Brea Ave., 323.936.5331

Opening Soon:
- Maison Martin Margiela has a tentative opening date of mid-August at Little Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills. WWD reports that Margiela will split a 4,500-square-foot retail space with 11-year-old designer specialty store Mameg with a short hallway connecting the two boutiques. Mameg carries fashion-forward labels including Balenciaga, Hussein Chalayan and Véronique Leroy. The location will be the second in the U.S. for Maison Martin Margiela, which opened its first U.S. store in lower Manhattan in December 2005.
Rumor has it that Nina Ricci, Alexander McQueen and Parisian tres chic boutique Colette are opening on Melrose Place in the next few months while Balenciaga has set its sights on Melrose near Urth Caffe. Ports 1961 is eyeing for space in L.A. We have yet to hear when Uniqlo will be making its appearance in L.A. Perhaps next year?
