Devi Kroell for Target Launches Today

July 15th, 2007 Posted in Handbags, Target

The Devi Kroell for Target handbag collection is in stores today. There are five styles in different colors with 15 items total in the collection. Judging from the photo above, the goldtone tote looks like a winning piece. I have yet to see this collection in person so I can’t really say anything about the quality of the faux snakeskin. I already preordered some pieces and should receive them anytime soon. View the complete collection here. Get free shipping when you order $50. Use code TGTAFLAE for 10% off your order.

Here’s a scan from the July 2007 issue of Marie Claire showing a Devi Kroell for Target bag deconstructed and compared to the mainline Devi Kroell $2590 signature python hobo bag. Click on the image for a larger version.

Saw the bags on Sunday and they look like they should cost more than the price. Very nice quality!

How do you like yours, SD? :) I was going to go to Target to pick one up to see the quality, but they were completely sold out by the time I got there. (Along with that black Libertine dress. Sad.)

^TDO, I have not had a chance to review them but here goes: (please check these pictures to see what piece i am referring to)

      • the tote, pictured above, is too big
      • the goldtone hobo looks and feels good
      • the shopper is OK but can be only carried as a handbag (not over shoulders)
      • and the pochette’s “scales” are a bit thicker than the hobos.

the one i didn’t order (i wish i did as it quickly sold out!) and haven’t seen in person is the clutch. i will post pics and review when i get a chance. overall, the quality of the faux snakeskin is much better than i imagined. i have not seen anything like it before. the attention to detail is commendable. i say, good buy for the price. the gold hobo and clutch are probably the must have pieces.
