Gwen Stefani’s Harajuki Lovers has filed a lawsuit against fast fashion chain Forever 21 for trademark infringement. Pictured, above right, is Harajuku Lover’s Logo Heart print and a Forever 21 tee, on the left, with a modified Logo Heart print. While they’re at it, they might as well get Wet Seal and Aeropostale in on the act. See proof after the jump.

    2. mary Says:

I mean give me a break! its called being original that’s what will get you sales not copying someone elses design!

    3. Jane Says:

i can’t blame forever 21 for taking inspiration from gwen stefani’s harajuku lovers line because it is so cute and original… but if they want to give their clothes a similar theme, then they shouldn’t completely copy gwen’s designs! they made it so obvious! they were practically asking to be sued. they deserved it. NOBODY STEALS FROM GWEN!

    4. Angie Says:

why not copy something that is sooooooo pricy, most people cant afford the real thing….so we go into 4ever21, see something simialr or exact and of course we r going to buy it, we want what we cant have, why does it matter to the designers anyways, they make millions on top of millions, there not losing anything….maybe they should make affordable clothing not everyone is Rich and Famous!!!!!!!!!!

    5. rorowub Says:

      Forever 21
      Aeropostale
      &

    7. harajukoqueen Says:

lmao. Did you know Gwen Stefani often copies a lot of other things? Example, the HARAJUKA girls and also EGL. No one sues her, so why would she file a law suit against people who took her ideas? Also, If you look at Japanese fashion and look at Gwen’s, they are very similar. She gets a lot of her ideas from Japanese culture. She’s a copy cat basically.

    8. annie Says:

gwen stefani is a fake. she makes people view japanese culture as what she designs… but it’s the opposite. sure, some of her shirts are cute, but i think people should sue her for making people parade around in her brand and pretend they are all hard-core street-style. >:O

    9. linds Says:

The entire fashion business is based on people “borrowing” ideas from other brands. That’s how trends work! stefani should be proud that the people she hired to design her lines for her are so talented that everyone wants to copy them. Wake up, this is the real world.

    10. J Says:

Gwen isn’t the original thought on the clothing, the pictures might be from her own ideas, but the inspiration is purely from Harajuku the true origination of the ideas. Pictures, modified logos is stealing no doubt about that. But ’stealing’ the Harajuku fashion from her is not true. It wasn’t hers in the first place, she just drew inspiration from Harajuku. She’s the fake here, there so many other brands that were here first, she wasn’t the first one. Duh!! Personally I like Gwen, but saying that her stuff is ‘original’ it’s not true.

    11. sara Says:

????? everyone bits off of everyone, nothing is new.

    12. Aliciaxxx Says:

I love wetseal but they’re always stealin shit

    13. amanda Says:

i disagree! Gwen Stephani NEVER had this IDEA on her own. SHE STOLE it from HARAJUKU FASHION that ALREADY EXISTS! Majorly popular in Japan… I actually dislike her more ever since i’ve noticed she has some asian chicks following her “harajuku” fashion. its not HER fashion its Japan’s and now the worlds fashion so maybe she should think about it that before she goes a sues!

    14. amanda Says:

saying Gwen is ORIGINAL is a complete joke! she pulls inspiration from everything that strikes her fancy! the truth is NO ONE is original! unless the purpose is to do something that “hasnt been done” quite unlikely… its like my fav band NIN… i love tr so much and hes my fav artist but i know he drew his inspiration from a band called Skinny Puppy… which have pretty much the same music characteristics “to the untrained ear”…

That said, the Forever 21 designers are retards. I mean, they were already sued by DVF, and then they go and copy HL? I mean, the japanese writing is already pushing it. But then to put in the hearts and in the same color and everything…. God. I mean, HL is pretty low price anyways, compared to high-fashion labels and stuff. Just buy the real thing.
