Love It or Hate It: Mary Jane Boots
Here is an interesting piece of footwear that deserves a blog post of its own. I’m not sure what to make of it being that it seems confused whether it’s supposed to be mary janes, booties or both. I mean, why fix something when it ain’t broke? Why add a patch of suede to convert mary janes to boots? Or maybe they were last year’s mary janes reincarnated into boots? Call me confused! I have to admit that it does look cute to wear on a fun night out with your girl friends. Now, if only the heels were a little higher… Update: I think they would look better as platform wedges. Made By Elves Maryjane Boot $125 at Urban Outfitters.

Definately looks like they were “inspired” by the Marc by Marc Jacobs boots: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod42120054&parentId=cat5010740&masterId=cat9610736&index=1&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat000009cat000019cat5010735cat9610736cat5010740
Although, I must admit, I like the bottie that Urban Outfitters has better than the taller style. But as long as we’re on the subject of pumps with a boot inserted, I like these even more:

As you said, definately cute for a night out!

I blogged on these too about two weeks ago–I actually love them. So quirky, so “sexy-ugly”, LOL
