Chanel’s Renovated Beverly Hills Boutique Reopens

August 13th, 2007 Posted in Fab Shops

Chanel invites you to celebrate the opening of their newly renovated flagship boutique in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, August 15. I got my invitation in the mail this weekend and I can’t wait to see it in person!

The boutique’s façade was modeled after a Chanel No.5 perfume box using milky white microglass outlined in blackened steel. The 14,700 square foot, four story building will have two separate entrances for fashion and fine jewelry. A grand interior staircase highlights a series of display terraces past an LED-illuminated wall to the ready-to-wear collections on the second floor where you’ll find custom designed wool and silk carpets bearing Chanel’s classic tweed pattern. The fourth-floor VIP salon pays tribute to founder Coco Chanel’s apartment in Paris with elements such as a fireplace with a rock crystal centerpiece, custom plaster wall finishes and a cast-bronze chandelier. The rooftop penthouse suite will host private client events and features thousands of tone-on-tone LED lights creating Chanel’s iconic double-C logo. There will also be specially commissioned artwork including a porcelain version of Coco Chanel’s signature camellia flowers.

Peek the architect’s rendering of the boutique facade and grand staircase after the jump.
