Alice Temperley For Target Now in Stores and Online

September 16th, 2007 Posted in Target

Although there have been sightings in the past few days, the Alice Temperley for Target line officially debuts in stores and online today. I can’t say that I’ve been eyeing anything in particular and early reviews panning the collection hasn’t made me keen on rushing out for anything. The silhouette of this cropped jacket looks interesting though. A-line sleeves were spotted at the recent runway shows in New York. I’ll need to swing by a store later to personally check it out. If you plan to order online, use code TGTENTZYTCTARGETWELC for 10% off and get free shipping with a $50 or more purchase. You know the drill: the line departs on November 17.

When you posted the preview picks earlier this year, it was hell yeah. Around 2am, when it was out, I saw the individual pieces online, most of it’s disappointing. So bad that I don’t feel like looking at them in person. And way too much polyester. Even the sweater jacket is a no go, because acrylic is so uncomfortable. I did get the black and white striped sweater and the striped long-sleeve tees, but I think that’s it for now.

I popped by my local Target yesterday and ended up with that cropped blue jacket and the black and white printed sweater. Both were lovely, comfortable, and quite flattering. As for the other items…well, they definitely look better in person than online. I was disappointed that my size had mostly disappeared from the shelves.

thanks for the feedback, janet and kori. i thought the cropped jacket was wool?

I got up super-early for the Temperley collection, and was so disappointed. Construction is obviously cheap, and all the dresses are far too sheer. Not “cheeky and sexy sheer”, just “too cheap for lining sheer”. Argh.
The military jacket, which looked so nice online, is an awkward cut, and the crepe fabric (sailor pants) is atrocious. I think that the scarves are possibly the only thing worth buying. And even then, I’ll wait for clearance.
      Who’s next for GO?

hi nadarine, it’s erin fetherston, then jovovich-hawk early next year.

I tried to use the 10% coupon you mentioned, and it doesn’t work :(
