Cavalli for H&M in Stores Today

November 8th, 2007 Posted in Fast Fashion

As you probably know by now, the Roberto Cavalli line for H&M hits the stores today. I’m not really into the Cavalli aesthetic nor am I crazy about animal prints. Like Harrods Girl of I am Fashion, the only thing I would probably look for is this dress. But only after the madness has died down.

This got me thinking, what designer collaboration would you ditch work for? My short list would include Miu Miu, Prada, Marc Jacobs and Phillip Lim.

What about you?

I think if Tom Ford did it [impossible, I know!] I’d be camping out 2 days before hand. Or Donatella for H&M would be utterly amazing.

Although the actual cutest line would be Marni for H&M :x

I’m with you on not feelin’ the Cavalli for H&M hype (too JLo or Peg Bundy for me) but man, it was crazy here in OC. Maybe it was all the animal prints, but them ladies went crazy, stuff was snatched up in minutes, way crazier than the Stella McCartney collection.

And I would totally camp out @ H&M for Phillip Lim, Marni (esp. handbags!!!), Alexander Wang, Derek Lam or Narciso Rodriguez … we should probably start a petition.

[...] thought I was getting jaded about designer-mass retailer collaborations (see Roberto Cavalli for H&M). But seeing this two minute spot on MTV while watching The Hills tonight renewed my enthusiasm [...]
