Gossip Girl Fashion: Blair Waldorf’s Preppy Look in School Lies

January 4th, 2008 Posted in Gossip Girl

School Lies, the latest episode of Gossip Girl, showed lots of fashion eye candy. Unfortunately most items seen in this episode are not available in stores anymore. Don’t you just hate that? The tuxedo bib dress worn by Blair Waldorf in a scene with Nate, is actually a navy and white velvet tuxedo dress by Catherine Holstein. It is on sale at Barneys New York by around 50% off or $200 but not available anywhere online. Anyhow, here’s Blair Waldorf entertaining her gang of school friends after being caught in a school break staying cool as a cucumber in her modern preppy outfit.

Argyle Vest: J. Crew

Blue/White Stripe Shirt: Brooks Brothers

I think it’s so weird how they keep using clothing that is no longer available. I think that might change the second season [assuming it survives the strike since the show doesn't have great ratings to begin with] when the budget grows. hmmmm

this episode was meant to run earlier, but they’re stretching out what they’ve got because of the writer’s strike – that could be why
