Yet another label to diversify, premium denim brand True Religion will launch a line of handbags this spring.
From WWD A:
True Religion co-founder Jeffrey Lubell is spearheading the design team, with licensee Leslie Hsu of Jacobs and Leslie Hsu Designs as co-designer. Hsu says the collection will offer consumers “a luxury line of handbags with a feeling of vintage bohemian chic, sophisticated, with an edge.”
The handbags are made in Italy and feature nickel hardware and the thick stitching found in its jeans. They come in brilliant hues like cobalt, fuschia and turquoise and different materials like stamped python leather, colorful woven fabric and even denim. Prices will range from $598 to $998 for handbags and $98 to $128 for leather key chains and pouches. They will be sold at Neiman Marcus and True Religion stores.

The one on the right isn’t that bad but the price point? Fail. I’d rather get a higher end designer for what they’re charging.
