Forever 21’s Version of Louboutin Lapono Shoe Boots

February 3rd, 2008 Posted in Fast Fashion, Splurge vs. Steal

I stumbled upon the Forever 21 store that just opened at Hollywood and Highland yesterday. Everything was shiny and new, including black patent heels that closely resembled Christian Louboutin’s Lapono Shoe Boots. While Laponos sell for $775, Forever 21’s version are only less than $30.

lawsuit coming soon? they’re even curved at the toe the same way, but I don’t know if that’s part of the structure/wearability more than just trying to copy the Louboutin style.

^for real. they didn’t even put this on their website. and when i was in the changing rooms and my camera’s flash accidentally went off, they knocked twice on the door and told me not to take pictures in their store. haha. but i already took the good ones while browsing on the floor!

i tried these shoes but don’t remember if they were comfortable or not. i tried several pairs of shoes and some of them felt heavy and unwearable.

Honestly any company can get away with copying if they just don’t put it on their website. I think f21 is probably going to start doing that more often to avoid lawsuits and hope that the people who design for the higher labels never actually shop there.

I feel like those shoes are like “PHOTOSHOOT!” shoes for the poor college photo student. Sigh, might have to cop them for something soon. haha
