Goyard La Vie en Rose
La Maison Goyard will be unveiling a new color on Valentine’s Day called La Vie en Rose, French for “Life in Pink”. Goyard used to carry a darker shade of raspberry pink but it looked too similar to the basic red so La Vie En Rose was created. Described by Goyard SAs as “bubblegum pink”, the latest color appears to be a muted, powdery shade of pink, subtle enough to please even those who are not fond of the color. It’s perfect for spring! La Vie en Rose will be available in several styles including the St. Louis ($1385/GM, $1225/MM), Fidji ($1250) and Croisière ($2115/35 cm) at Goyard flagship stores in Paris and San Francisco.
My Flickr friend Katrina got an invite for the premier private viewing and will get to see this gorgeous new color in person this week! The picture below is from her invitation, by the way. Too bad Goyard does not have a flagship store in L.A. I got my red Croisière at Barneys New York and they won’t be having any launch viewing of any sort. A quick call to Barneys also revealed that they do not know if they will be getting La Vie en Rose at all. So if you must have this color, call the San Francisco boutique at 415.398.1110.

Update: I found a new photo of Goyard’s La Vie en Rose via another Flickr friend. Eh! The baby pink looks like a friggin’ Chinatown special!

Project Runway contender Jillian Lewis looks so cute as she takes a bow after her collection is presented in Bryant Park. I love her cream off shoulder cable knit dress. She paired the dress with a mustard colored braided belt and barely there fishnet stockings. She should have included this in her collection. Where can I buy this, Jillian?
