This has got to be the most exciting designer collaboration so far: Comme des Garçons for H&M! The collection will be launched in Japan in November and will include a range for men, women and some children’s clothes as well as accessories and a unisex perfume.

It will be interesting to see what the avant-garde label will design for a mass market chain like H&M. Comme des Garçons founder and head designer said of the collaboration, “”I have always been interested in the balance between creation and business. It is a dilemma, although for me creation has always been the first priority. It is a fascinating challenge to work with H&M since it is a chance to take the dilemma to its extreme, and try to solve it.”

Looking forward to it!

I’ve never been inside an H&M, and never wanted to be in one. However, I’m looking forward to this line. I probably won’t buy any of the clothes, but I’m interested in a look-see at the accessories and the perfume. I’ll finally lose my H&M virginity.
