Zipped Back Gladiator Shoes

When it comes to shoes, I like them to be easy to slip in and out of. I usually can’t be bothered with straps if I can help it. So when I started searching for gladiator flats, the ones with zippered backs appealed to me the most. And since I didn’t want to commit too much to the style, I didn’t want to spend much on them either. I found the perfect pair, stylewise and pricewise, in these Dorian gladiators from Baker shoes. They are $49.95. I couldn’t decide between brown or white, so I got both!

I got the brown Bakers ones a few weeks ago as well for the exact same exact reasons. I love them and everywhere I go in NYC people ask me where I got them. I feel kind of guilty saying “Bakers” though

I purchased the same brown pair over a month ago and every time I try to work them into my outfits, I feel like my legs look stumpy and my feet look hobbit-like. What will you be wearing them with? Is there a fixed skirt length ratio to amount of leg shown that should be followed so that my 5′2 frame doesnt look even shorter?

kristin - i haven’t worn mine out yet. do the zippers get stuck? i had a hard time unzipping them but the girl in the store said they get better over time.
joann - i am petite as well, which is why i stayed away from gladiators last year. i’ll be wearing them with slim fit jeans, shorts and long flowy dresses. i found this useful guide, check out the section called “what to wear with gladiator sandals”. looks like i should have gone for metallic or slim strapped glads!

Those are actually really nice and i’m not that crazy about gladitator shoes… so I am pretty surprised. Bakers… the chain store right? I’m so running there for these.
