Hayden-Harnett for Target

Brooklyn based Hayden-Harnett has reportedly been tapped by Target for an exclusive line for spring 2009. The three year old brand is best known for its best-selling Havana hobo bag (pictured on the left). No word yet on whether the collection will consist of handbags and/or shoes, the latter of which the brand will be launching next spring.
Designer collaborations these days are a dime a dozen. And considering the disappointing quality from past Target accessories collaborations, there really isn’t much to look forward to, I think. You might as well buy a regular Target handbag now and call it a day. But that’s just my opinion.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to this collaboration?

The Rafe bags weren’t bad, but they weren’t pleather, I can’t stand faux leather bags. Even my husband looked at the new Botkier bag on the rack and shall we say, he was not impressed. Still I’m looking forward to the AH bags…ah hope springs eternal.
