A Piece of Eairth

September 27th, 2008 Posted in Fashion

I finally got my first piece of Eairth! A couple of months ago, I gushed about this eco-friendly and sustainable line. Then I found this Mandaya Knifer pleated dress that’s new for Fall 2008. It’s an intricately pleated organic cotton knit dress with stitched down knife pleats that is hand stitched and hand dyed with natural pigments. The dress is gorgeous but a bit tricky to wear since the pleating hits at the spot that I’m most conscious of – my midsection. Thankfully, I lost about six pounds recently so I feel more confident about wearing this dress now. The photo below shows the pleating by the cuff that can be pushed back to form lantern sleeves and are finished with leather binding. Love it! Available at Oak NYC. Thanks for getting this for me, Stef!
