Saks Fifth Avenue 70% Off First Cut Designer Sale Begins Online Tonight
The buying frenzy at Saks Fifth Avenue over the past few days has reached epic proportions as consumers snapped up bargain priced designer goods as fast as they could or as much as their credit cards allowed. Tomorrow, November 25, marks the day that merchandise will be marked an additional 50% off on top of the 40% off giving a total savings of 70% off original retail prices. But you already knew that and you most likely got your loot on presale, ready to be picked up tomorrow. Savvy Saks shoppers also know that at 1:30AM (eastern time), the online sale at saks.com begins. If you missed out on the grabbing and fist fighting in stores, then rest easy and let your fingers do the shopping tonight. It can probably get as stressful as being in the store fighting over a pair of Louboutins but hey, no pain no gain right?

Finally, my search for black knee high boots is over! (Well, I hope this one fits as I’ve been having trouble with sizing of my recent shoe purchases.) I wasn’t too sure about calling around for it but after trolling around The Purse Forum for several days now, I decided to call the Columbus Ohio Saks store this afternoon. Luckily I got a helpful SA named Janet who found the Jimmy Choo Hallie boots in size 6, my boot size. Too bad they didn’t have any Chanel ballet flats in size 5 or 5 1/2 but then again, I only get what I need and stay within budget. Thank goodness I already got what I need. Saks livechat says it will be 1:30AM ET. I guess they have to update the site with the new prices.

they told me originally told me 12:01EST I tried to just place my order anyways in hopes they will adjust it – I’ve been on hold for 1hr for the phone

meredith – the extra 50% off is reflected on another page. if you ordered after 1:30AM ET they should be able to credit the 50% back to you if you call customer service via phone or live chat. it should take 5-7 business days as adjusting is a manual process. let me know if you got it!
felicia – i am very tempted to buy a dvf dress but i’m stopping myself from even taking a peek at the website. maybe i’ll drop by the store tomorrow and if it’s there then it was meant for me!

I put my order in and called and they told me that the additional 50% wasn’t off any of the items included the booties by CL. That kinda sucks. I even found the prada purse in non leather and again they said it wasn’t 50% off. I’m going to take it into the store to see what gives.

michelle, that sucks because everything that’s already 40% off should have the additional 50% off on tuesday. the sale has been crazy and you hear different things from the store employees. beverly hills told customers all purchases were final sale. but when i called the columbus ohio store and asked the SA who i bought my boots from she said they are not final sale and i could return them within 60 days. she also said that i wasn’t the first to ask about that. so yeah keep trying. maybe you’ll find someone who’ll give you the discount. good luck!

From what I found out from Saks today is 90% of the items on the website won’t have the extra 50%. Bastards.
