Marc Jacobs Resort 2010: The Gold Lamé Dress

June 6th, 2009 Posted in Fashion Week

For his 2010 resort collection, Marc Jacobs presented a version of the gold lamé backless toga dress that Kate Moss wore to the 2009 Costume Institute Gala at the Met themed “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion”. The shimmery dress features an asymmetrical neckline, a low cut back and an attached cape. It’s a very unwearable dress for mere mortals like us (and quite tacky looking too, if I may add) but since Kate Moss wore it, it’s the piece most likely to sell out from the collection.

As for me, I’m more interested in the platform shoes from the collection!
