Omelle Luxury Footwear

When Creative Director Nicole LaFave emailed me a month ago about Omelle*, a brand new luxury footwear company, I was blown away. Not only were the shoe designs amazing, I was impressed with LaFave’s and co-founder Cherise Angelle’s attention to detail.
Each pair of Omelle shoes comes in a beautiful custom box with a label and photo I.D. of what’s inside. In each box, instead of disposable tissue, you get a reusable Bow Bag. The shoe footbeds are labeled with an L and R to indicate the left or right foot along with the size. Even the way Omelle shoes are named tells you that much care and thought was put into the brand. Shoes are grouped each season and assigned to a letter which will run in alphabetical order throughout future seasons. For example, Spring/Summer 2009 will include the A, B, C + D groups. Each group contains shoes that have names starting with that letter. This will make it easy to catalog your shoe closets and your personal Omelle collection if you chose. The style names from the above photo are (from the top left to bottom right): Artist, Andre, Bailey, Brianna, Cappy, Cecilia, Cole, Drew and Dillon.
Omelle shoes are created in Italy, detailed with luxurious materials like exotic perch fish, and designed with a forward-thinking edge. The innovative heels are eye catching: André uses a copper heel, Drew is a stacked leather heel with a copper capped piece, Architect is a gunmetal heel and Cecilia uses light wood. Their style takes cues from a long list of inspirations—including furniture design, luscious textiles, architecture and graphic design with stunning typography.
Omelle offers what every fashion savvy woman desires: a brilliant pair of shoes waiting to be worn on any occasion deeming effortless and evocative style. Check out the complete Spring 2009 collection at Omelle.com and Shoetales, the online journal.
