Rogan for Target Now at Barneys New York

Rogan Gregory’s eco-friendly line for Target is now available at Barneys New York’s Manhattan flagship store on Madison Avenue. The 100% organic collection won’t be in Target stores until May 18 so lucky New Yorkers get first dibs!

Racked and Fashionista reports that this is the best GO International Collection so far. Everything was flying off the racks at last night’s press preview.

I’m so excited about this! I’m not a fan of animal prints but this line seems to do it just right. I’ve got my eye on those shorts pictured on the left and a few silk dresses.

Too bad Barneys in Beverly Hills will be stocking Rogan for Target clothing on May 15, just a mere three days ahead of the nationwide launch in Target.

If you’re in New York, better get there pronto. The collection will be at Barneys only until Sunday, May 11.

Target’s GO International Private Label Collection Now Available

Target’s GO International Private Label Collection is now available online and in stores. The private label collection is the filler in between guest designer lines. I’ll definitely be checking out the collection when I return the Gryson bags, which were a disappointment, today or tomorrow. You can check out reviews by other bloggers here and here.

Gryson for Target Now Available

The Gryson for Target handbag collection is now available online and in stores through June 21st. The following items are available online only: Patent Woven Tote Bag in Green, Zip Tape Satchel in Blue Jean, Woven Bag with Cutout Handles in Green and Black and the Woven Pouch in Green.

My favorite style is the zip satchel with braided handles which look very similar to the Olivia and Skye bags from Gryson’s designer line. It comes in two colors (blue jean and black) and as blue jean is only sold online I’ll be getting both then decide which one to keep later. Or I might keep both! Get free shipping with a minimum $50 order.

Looking forward to Botkier for Target late this summer!

Update: I just received the zip satchels and I have to say that I’m disappointed. The design is great. The braided straps remind me of Givenchy’s Pluto bag. But the overall quality is low: work on the exposed zipper is shoddy, the zippers don’t open and close smoothly and the material could be better. Even H&M makes better PVC bags at lower prices. I think Target needs to step up their game and work on sourcing out better handbag manufacturers if they want to sell these bags at full price. The handbag designs look great but when you see them in person, there’s always something left to be desired.

Subversive for Target Now Online

Target has partnered with jewelry designer and CFDA nominee for accessory designer of the year Justin Giunta to launch a limited-edition accessories collection, Subversive for Target.

From the Target Press Release:
The Subversive for Target collection plays on the idea that more is more, and each piece is designed with a concept behind it, so it is both visual and thoughtful. This collection includes an eclectic mix of charm bracelets, delicate drop earrings and bold multi-color block necklaces. Key pieces include the jeweled locket fringe necklace, the tri-strand faux pearl necklace and the red butterfly brooch cuff bracelet. The exclusive Subversive for Target collection ranges in price from $14.99 to $59.99.

There are five collections: Bauhaus Beach House; Birds, Bees, Summer Memories; Boho Victorian; Cactus Cluster; and Visions of Saturn. A standout piece is the necklace from the Visions of Saturn collection (pictured above) which closely resembles the $1600 topaz planetary necklace from Subversive’s original designer line (pictured on the left). Another must have piece is the tri-strand cluster necklace that features multiple charms and contrasting bead shapes.

The Subversive for Target collection is now available online and in stores through July 20.

Jovovich Hawk for Target Now Online

The Jovovich Hawk for Target GO International Collection is now online and in stores. The limited edition line will be available from now through April 12.

I can’t decide from looking at the pictures if I want anything from this line. I’ll probably have to stop by Target later today to see the goods in person. Do you have any favorites?

Target Does Mouse Jelly Shoes

Looks like Target is paying “homage” to Marc Jacobs’ Mouse Jelly Shoes with house brand Xhilaration. I’ve always thought of jelly shoes as ugly and impractical but this design is actually cute. And at $7.99-$8.99 a pair, you can just have fun with it without breaking the bank. Let’s just hope the plastic is as pliable and soft as Marc Jacobs’. Otherwise, blisters aren’t even worth paying $7.99 for.

Sneak Peak: Gryson for Target

Preview images of the Gryson for Target line are featured in the March 2008 issue of Harpers Bazaar and on Target.com. There are two woven styles shown: a pouch in black, white, green and blue jean ($19.99) and a bag with cutout handles in black, white and green ($44.99). The designs look really nice but the actual feel of polyurethane might not be. No official word yet on when the collection will be released but this will most likely occur when Loeffler Randall for Target departs in late March.

Update 2/26/08: Racked just posted more photos today. The line is scheduled for release on April 6 and will be in stores through June 21, 2008.

Jovovich-Hawk for Target Images

The images of the Jovovich-Hawk for Target’s Go International collection are finally up. Do you see anything that you like so far? Click here for the item names and prices. The Jovovich-Hawk for Target collection offers a variety of flowing, graceful dresses and tops touched with whimsical details. Floral print dresses and lace-detailed blouses add to the elegance of women from coast to coast, while flirty swimwear is ideal for spring getaways. The collection ranges in price from $12.99 to $39.99, including must-haves such as smocked dresses, printed vests, active shorts, denim jeans and miniskirts.

Standout pieces include a denim linen vest, scoop-neck sweater cover-ups, floral bikinis and a gold lurex minidress. Accessories include an oversized linen bag in navy, as well as a perfect beach-time black floppy hat. Eyelet dresses and cropped jackets are perfect pieces to stay on trend this spring.

Erin Fetherston for Target Not Moving In Stores (At Least, Not in This L.A. Suburb Store)

I dropped by Target last week and saw racks full of clothing from the Erin Fetherston line. At this point in time, I thought the racks would be almost bare. What was going on? Here are some theories:

1. The excitement over designer collaborations with mass market retailers has waned.

2. While some of the fabrics were sumptuous, the designs flatter only certain body types. The red babydoll dress’ empire seam hit the bust line at an odd spot on me and the white jacket could look like a potato sack on some.

3. Pricing is a bit high for Target price points. But hey, they’re on sale at 30% off now so perhaps these items will finally move.

4. The Target store that I visited hasn’t been infiltrated by the fashion types, despite it being located in an L.A. suburb.

The line will depart in a few weeks to make way for Jovovich-Hawk, which will debut in February probably to coincide with New York Fashion week. Next question: Where are the spoiler photos of the Jovovich-Hawk line? Somebody leak them online already!

Loeffler Randall for Target Now Online

The Loeffler Randall for Target collection is now available online! The line was scheduled for release at select Target stores and online on December 30 so Christmas has come early for those who were anticipating this collection. If you plan to purchase online, get 10% off with code TGAFLETJ or TGTAFT7R with $50 minimum purchase through December 30. I think I’ll wait to see them in person. My favorite are the brown patent cinch flats. What’s yours?
