Christian, aka Ferosha Coutura, had the strongest, most high fashion collection shown in the show’s finale. Initially, I thought he was nothing more than an annoying little twat but Christian certainly proved himself to be an astute designer as the season progressed. Plus he was very entertaining. He even won this season’s fan favorite. Let’s just hope this doesn’t all go to his head. Congrats, Christian! That’s fierce! And as guest judge Victoria Beckham said to Christian, “”Rather than fierce, I would say you are major.”
Read a post win interview with Christian here. And of course, watch this video where Tim Gunn and Christian do a runway walk off. Tim got red faced and in stitches at the end. Hilarious!

Project Runway contender Jillian Lewis looks so cute as she takes a bow after her collection is presented in Bryant Park. I love her cream off shoulder cable knit dress. She paired the dress with a mustard colored braided belt and barely there fishnet stockings. She should have included this in her collection. Where can I buy this, Jillian?

Look who we just spotted at the Project Runway fashion show:

Why it’s Dani, Bianca and Jasleeeene! Tyra may not have gotten them to work in the tents but Project Runway has. Now that’s ironic!

The remaining Project Runway Season 4 hopefuls just presented their finale collections in Bryant Park, New York. Photos from the show are already starting to stream in online. In the meantime, we found out that… (spoilers ahead, don’t click through if you don’t want to know.)

In tonight’s episode, the designers were challenged to create an iconic denim look using Levi’s 501 jeans and Trucker jacket while capturing the originality and creativity of the 501 legacy. So crying Ricky finally wins! He must have shed copious tears of joy as his design is now available as a limited edition piece on LevisStore.com for $168.
The design looks nice, but how many women would buy a figure hugging strapless denim dress? If I were the judges, I would have chosen Rami’s design, which are two separate pieces with zippers used as piping. It looks more sophisticated and versatile than the winning design. Just my opinion and, as Tim Gunn has said, “Chacun à son goût”.
What do you think? Who should have won this challenge? Check out the photos below.
Chris
Christian
Jillian
Rami
Sweet P
Victorya

I just watched Project Runway’s latest episode tonight, En Garde! (I had to sleep early last night) and I was just blown away by Chris and Christian’s avant-garde creation made of 45 yards of creamy café-au-lait organza cut into layers of circles. Amazing, considering it took them only two days from concept to finish and they had to create another look at the last minute. I almost “did a Ricky” (cried) when I saw their final creation. Even Nina Garcia tried to restrain her excitement when their model walked the runway. Christian and Chris worked well together that they brought out the best in each other. Tim Gunn called the two designers “Team Fierce”. Now, this is something I would like to see Season 4 finalists present on Fashion Week, not boring, wearable pieces. Bring it on, guys! (My picks for the final three: Rami, Jillian, Christian)

Who watched the season premiere of Project Runway Season 4 last night? Raise your hands! Episode 1, Sew Me What You Got, challenged the designers to show who they are as designers. What did you think of the 15 designers? Have you picked any faves yet? My early fave is Rami Kashou who is based in Los Angeles. His dress last night was a bit boring when seen on TV but the judges were right in picking him as this episode’s winner. The guy can drape! I predict he’ll make it to the top three. Another early favorite is Chris who created this jewel toned dress. I’m not sure if he’ll make it to the end though. My other faves are Victorya, Kevin, Jack and Jillian. But enough of my picks, what about yours?
Project Runway’s highly anticipated Season 4 kicked off yesterday with a preview fashion show at the Lincoln Center Plaza in New York City, featuring designs from the upcoming season’s 15 contestants. The designers showcased some of the looks that got them into the competition, including bejeweled dresses, fringed leggings, bouncing bustles and sweeping gowns. This season’s crop of designers are a talented and experienced bunch and includes Los Angeles based Rami Kashou, who has dressed celebrities on the red carpet, and Ricky Lizalde, who has designed lingerie for Oscar de la Renta and now has his own line, Lizalde, in major department stores. Heidi Klum, in a gorgeous royal blue Balenciaga dress, hosted the event along with Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn. Those who couldn’t make it to the Lincoln Center can watch a video of the preview event here. The upcoming season begins next Wednesday, November 14 at 10PM ET/PT on Bravo TV. I heard this season is going to be sew good! Set your DVRs!
Spoiler alert: Pictures of some of the designs modeled are after the jump.
