Bodhi Safety Pin Clutch

While flipping through the pages of the latest issue of Nylon Magazine, I found an ad with a photo of this Bodhi Safety Pin Clutch. It’s made of patent leather and cow fur but the pièce de résistance of this clutch is the giant safety pin handle. Now some of you may not be with me on this one but I think the giant safety pin makes the clutch unique without being kitschy. I imagine that you could fold the pin out of sight if you wanted to. You’ll surely turn heads with this clutch! There aren’t that many stockists that I could find in the U.S. but the July 2008 issue of Elle reports that you can get this clutch at Fred Segal in Los Angeles.

Bodhi handbags is a new line of hand-crafted bags combining exotic materials, chic leather and vintage design redefining the accessory “must-have”. Starting with their Fall/Winter 2008 line, Bodhi’s bags will have enlightening mantras such as, “Peace comes from within, do not seek it without” and “With our thoughts we make our world” stitched into every hand-made bag. Gimmicky? Yes. But hey, it doesn’t hurt.
