The much awaited images of the Comme des Garçons for H&M collection have leaked online.

According to W Magazine’s upcoming September issue, “the limited edition collection features “mostly black and with Japanese tomboy airs, … a range of tailored jackets, many deconstructed, along with cropped pants, baggy shorts and a variety of skirts in stretch wool. On the perkier side are polkadot knits in jersey or merino wool, colorful shirts—some with dots—and a ’showpiece’ coatdress decorated here and there with dense Victorian ruffles (pictured on the left). There are also accessories and a unisex perfume with notes of cedar and patchouli…”

Comme des Garçons for H&M will be available in stores by November. Scans of the collection are after the jump. Update: More photos here.

Designer Collaborations: LV + CdG and Richard Chai for Target

June 29th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Designer Collaborations

The world of designer collaborations isn’t limited to mass market retailers in partnership with designers. It can also be a fusion of established luxury labels like Louis Vuitton and Comme des Garçons who, according to Suzy Menkes at The Moment, “will open a joint Tokyo store in September — an ephemeral three-month space where six one-off bags, designed by Kawakubo in LV monogram pattern, can be ordered by shoppers.” What a strange but genius pairing. And pretty exciting to boot. Fans of both LV and CdG are already planning a trip to Tokyo this September.

In the hi-low designer pairings, Nylon gave a sneak peek of the Richard Chai for Target collection, coming to us in August. Nylon will have a full article in their August issue. By then, we’d probably have more photos to get us excited and waiting with bated breath for August 2 to arrive. View more photos of the line here.
