Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf in Marc by Marc Jacobs

Gossip Girl is back and of course, I’m back to covering who wore what on the show. For starters, it’s great to see that Blair still loves wearing dresses. The spring 2008 collection of Marc by Marc Jacobs have served up a few pieces for season two and they look better on Blair than the runway models, don’t you think?

In tonight’s episode, “Summer, Kind of Wonderful”, Blair wore a white Joelle scalloped dress to the White Party at the Hamptons. She wore it with a double rosette headwrap by Jennifer Behr, a Salvatore Ferragamo white satin clutch, and Chloe platform shoes. Looking good is the best revenge, right?

In an upcoming episode with a flashback of Blair’s summer in France, she’ll be wearing an Alessandra sleeveless silk dress, also from Marc by Marc Jacobs. I almost bought that dress at Barneys back in May but I bought a 3.1 Phillip Lim top instead.

Both dresses are not available in stores anymore but, if you really want them, you can still find them on Ebay. You just might have to pay a premium, of course!

Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf’s Nautical Outfit

I just can’t get enough of Blair’s outfits. Here she is in her favorite colors: blue, white and red. Her nautical inspired look is just the right attire for travel. If you haven’t watched the season finale yet, you won’t believe me if I tell you where she’s going in this outfit, and with whom.

Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf’s Spring Outfit

It’s refreshing to see Blair Waldorf in a colorful outfit other than her usual red, white and blue. In Gossip Girl’s season one finale, “Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing”, Blair looked cool as a cucumber as she confronted the manipulative and evil Georgina Sparks in her bright spring attire. Matching mixed prints never looked so good!

Gossip Girl Fashion: Serena’s Bridesmaid Dress

Gossip Girl’s season one final episode just aired. I can already feel withdrawal symptoms kicking in. What to do until Season 2 airs? We’ll always have the fashion, won’t we?

How pretty was Serena in her yellow tiered floral dress at her mother’s wedding? Soft and sweet yet edgy, the outfit is from Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2008 collection. I would have done without the black accents but they’re what make the outfit more compelling on an otherwise boring, and now ubiquitous, floral print.

Spotted: Blair Waldorf’s Foley + Corinna Rhinestone Collar Dress

You’ve got to admire Gossip Girl’s queen bee Blair Waldorf. She’s got spunk and style and definitely knows her game. When she crashed Jenny’s Upper East Side party in the episode “All About My Brother”, she was dressed to the nines in a black rhinestone collared dress and a long pearl necklace. That dress is by Foley & Corinna which retailed for $495 on Shopbop late last year and is now sold out everywhere. But as luck would have it, I just spotted it on eBay.

The auction ends tomorrow May 20, so if you must have it, better better keep an eye on it now and don’t let go.

Spotted: Serena van der Woodsen toting a metal studded bag from Burberry Prorsum called The Mason Warrior Bag. The metal studs look a bit hardcore for Serena’s sweet image. Perhaps it will come in handy when she eventually goes to battle with her arch-nemesis, Georgina Sparks. $3195 at Net-a-Porter.

Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf’s Valentino Couture Braided Tote

Still another must have handbag from Gossip Girl’s latest episode, “Desperately Seeking Serena”, is Blair Waldorf’s red braided tote. Although the style has been around for several months now, the Valentino Couture Braided Tote just looks hot in red, doesn’t it? It’s made of napa leather that is buttery soft. The woven details and braided handles are unique features that go well with the bugatti shape. Seeing all these gorgeous handbags in one show suddenly makes me rethink my recent handbag purchase. Ah, if only I’ve got an extra $1950 to spare!

Gossip Girl: Georgina Sparks’ Gucci Hysteria Python Bag

Georgina Sparks (portrayed by actress Michelle Trachtenberg) made her debut on Gossip Girl’s latest episode, “Desperately Seeking Serena”. She’s back to stir up trouble for reformed former bad girl Serena and it looks like she arrived with a deadly accessory on her arm. I just watched the episode last night and I couldn’t get my eyes of her black python bag. It fits Georgina’s snakey, er sneaky, personality.

But seriously, the bag is Gucci’s Hysteria Python bag. For someone who isn’t usually drawn to Gucci and python (snakeskin gives me the creeps), this bag is to die for! The bag’s shape is distinctive and comes with a hefty price tag of $3990. Neiman Marcus has already sold out of the style but if you must have it, Saks Fifth Avenue still carries it. And if you live in California (where python is banned) or prefer a non-snakeskin alternative, Gucci Hysteria also comes in black patent ($1790) and gun metal leather ($2150).
