Gwyneth Paltrow and Karl Lagerfeld for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2008 Key to the Cure

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and as in previous years, products that support the cause will be featured on ShopDiary this month.

The first thing that I bought to support the cause this year is Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2008 Key To The Cure T-Shirt. The limited edition t-shirt was designed exclusively by Karl Lagerfeld and features a cross bow and arrow on the front and a sketch of Karl himself on the back. Love! The tee is $40 with over $35 to benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s (EIF) Women’s Cancer Research Fund. EIF Ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow appeared in a national public service announcement (PSA) wearing the Karl Lagerfeld limited edition t-shirt.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s charity shopping weekend will take place October 16 to 19 at all of its stores nationwide and through saks.com, during which 2% of sales will benefit local organizations through EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. In the 10 years since the inception of the Saks Fifth Avenue charity shopping event, the company, together with its vendors and partners, has raised more than $28 million.

Although I already ordered mine a few days ago the t-shirt officially hits stores and online today, October 1. I can’t wait to get mine!
